St. Hughes College under the Oxford University of the United Kingdom has removed the name of Aung San Suu Kyi. In view of the good standing in the Rohingya issue on Thursday, the students of the college voted for the lower class students to remove their name from the common room in the local time in the evening on Thursday. Immediately the decision came into effect.
Suu Kyi was a student of this college before graduating. The Common Room was named after him.
Students of St. Hughes College have also criticized Suu Kyi's silence in view of persecution of the army on minority Rohingya Muslims.
According to their decision, Aung San Suu Kyi's disability in the Rakhine massacre, gang rape and the violation of human rights violations is inexcusable and unacceptable. Once upon a time, he tried to uphold the policy and ideology that he honestly did.
Earlier, the board of directors of the college decided to remove Suu Kyi from the original entrance of St. Huss College last September.
